The Solid Color Canvas node generates a rectangular image filled with a solid color. Use it as a background layer, placeholder, or starting point for compositions. The output dimensions are fully customizable.

Usage Tips

• Use white (#FFFFFF) for clean backgrounds or black (#000000) for dark mode designs
• Create transparent backgrounds with colors like #FFFFFF00 (transparent white)
• Combine with Merge node to add colored overlays to existing images
• Perfect for creating placeholder images during development

Common Pairings

• Merge - Use as a background layer for compositing
• Text - Place text on a colored background
• Rectangle - Layer shapes on a solid base

Gotchas

• Dimensions must be positive integers
• Very large canvases (>8000px) may consume significant memory
