QR Code
Generate a QR code image from text or URL content
Overview
The QR Code node generates a scannable QR code image from any text or URL content. It supports custom foreground and background colors for brand integration, and configurable error correction levels for different scanning reliability requirements.
Usage Tips
- Use for URLs, contact information, WiFi credentials, or any text up to ~4000 characters
- Higher error correction levels make codes more scannable but also larger/denser
- Custom colors work best with high contrast between foreground and background
- Keep content concise for smaller, easier-to-scan codes
Error Correction Levels
- low - 7% recovery, smallest code size
- medium - 15% recovery (default), good balance
- high - 25% recovery, larger code
- highest - 30% recovery, largest code, best for printed materials
Common Pairings
- Merge - Place QR code on a background image or marketing material
- Resize - Scale the QR code to fit your layout
- Insert Into - Position QR code at a specific location on another image
Gotchas
- Avoid low contrast color combinations (e.g., yellow on white) as they may not scan
- Very long content strings produce dense codes that are harder to scan
- Size should be at least 100px for reliable scanning on screens
- Some QR readers have trouble with inverted colors (light foreground on dark background)
